Write for us
We welcome pitches that make comedy easier to see, hear or understand: fresh readings of comic forms, clear explanations of technique, and thoughtful pieces about language, satire or visual humour.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the central idea, why it suits Vibrant Comedy Review, and what a reader will understand or notice by the end. A focused angle is more useful than a broad subject such as comedy in general. Mention the form or examples you plan to discuss, and flag any factual claims that need particular context.
A good fit
We favour original, accessible work that explains its thinking and leaves room for interpretation. Pitches should have a distinct point, avoid repeating familiar list formats, and not depend on unsupported claims about what all audiences find funny.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page to send your pitch and choose the editorial question option. Include a short outline and a brief note about your proposed approach. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication.
Comedy rewards a second look
A joke can entertain and make us notice something at the same time. We explore how comic choices work without insisting that laughter has only one explanation.
